Sculpted the tunic lapel buttons, added a couple of decorations, and sculpted in the epaulettes. The cuffs were added as well.

I sculpted the toes and sandal straps. I sculpted the collar and added bits to represent repairs to the tunic.

I added the right arm to this piece.

I couldn't wait to try out basic colours on this piece. Generally, there are very blemishes and this is going to be a very colourful figure.

The feathers and cord end were detailed with a pyrogravure. The arms were sculpted, ll the buttons added and the calves were built up. A hook was added to the drum sling.

Since these pictures were taken, the arms have been adjusted to reveal more folds. The sandals have been carved down. The last details to be added are the collar and the sandal straps.

The sash ribbon was added. The left hand was modified and added.

I am on a roll with this figure now. I finished sculpting the pants, added buttons, and later added the drum sling. From the reference, this looks like a simple affair, with one end of the sling tied to the hook.

I reinserted the hands to the wire stumps and added the drum sling made from sheet metal.
