I bulked up the headdress and cleaned up the figure.
I have built up a personal collection of miniature figurines. Starting with commercially available kits, the collection was gradually built up to represent various aspects of military subjects and now, includes many other unique figures which represent cultural subjects, all sculpted from epoxy putty, plastic and metal over wire armatures. This blog will record the curation of this diverse and evolving collection.

Le Cimier Eleanor
The figure was epoxied to a base for stability. The rear of the seat was also epoxied. The figure was then polished with a rotary tool. The right arm was repositioned after careful filing.
Kato Kiyomasa 3
I removed the helmet to work on it. The right arm was repositioned to hold a war fan in a more natural position. A new spear was fabricated from brass tubing.
NHD PLO bagpiper
I discovered that this figure was meant to represent a bagpiper of the PLO, as given in a Osprey MAA book.
I drilled out and pinned the head to the body slightly angled forward. Looking at the pipes, I decided to replace one of them with a nail, and drilled out the others to take thin wires for strength. The tops were also drilled out as these pipes were hollow.
All the tubes were epoxied in place. The bagpipe was filled out with more putty and the right arm was twisted to hold the pipe correctly.

the head and neck was resculpted.
The waist was filled out and more chin was added to the face. A bit of hair was added to the back of the head.
