I have built up a personal collection of miniature figurines. Starting with commercially available kits, the collection was gradually built up to represent various aspects of military subjects and now, includes many other unique figures which represent cultural subjects, all sculpted from epoxy putty, plastic and metal over wire armatures. This blog will record the curation of this diverse and evolving collection.

Horse Marine (5)
After checking through my references, the trooper is wearing laced leggings instead of cavalry boots. I substituted an Airfix Afrika Korps set of modified legs to represent this.
The sword was a Historex spare and the gun was an Airfix spare. The saddlery and legs are being modelled accordingly.
This overhead picture shows that the sword and gun sticks out diagonally from the sides towards the back of the horse.
