The eyes were resculpted.
The face was painted.
A strip of sheet metal was added to the pipes. Following this, a length of copper wire was wound around the pipes. The tassels at the end were carefully drilled to insert the wires.
Back shot showing that the bagpipe trimmings have been painted.
