Arapaho White Woman 3

I rechecked my references. This is an Arapaho shaman. She is blowing on a whistle to call the buffaloes whilst the logs imitate the thumping of the buffalo hordes. In this figure, the whistle is moulded hanging around the neck. I removed the moulded whistle and added a whistle made from tubing. The whistle is attached to the mouth via a hole drilled to accept a thin wire. A thin wire was attached to the whistle to represent a string tied to the whistle. Although fiddly, I find that this minor conversion adds more interest and real context to the piece. Instead of being a static standing figure, she is now actively participating in a shamanistic ritual.
