Doodling on some simple Javanese toy figures

I have two assembled figures made from my own castings. The figures are being painted to represent the very colourful batik cloth which was worn.

Each figure is assembled from various castings. To represent the voluminous kain panjang, I use either a sculpted casting (left figure) or sheet metal (right figure).

Two patterns of kain panjang and kain dodot are represented schematically.

The final effect following details and gloss varnish. These figures represent either the Sultan or Susuhunan of the Indonesian Kratons.
