Sarum 71st Highland Officer

I had built and painted this figure without modification then. The figure was placed on a bracken-covered base.

I have recently decided to refurbish this piece. I prised the figure away from the base. I generally like the pose but decided to remove some of the engraved details especially on the doublets which looked crude. The limbs are rather thin and the left leg is shorter than the right leg. When seen from the side, the figure is flattened.

Putty was added to build up the back  and the right thigh.

The right hand has also been readjusted. The left leg was cut off and re-pinned. Putty was added to lengthen it.

The plaid is being resculpted to accommodate the enlarged torso.
