Napoleonic Drum Major 3

Following the undercoat, the Hungarian knots were further scrapped off as they were the wrong pattern. I intend to overpaint the correct pattern onto the hips.

The figure was further undercoated with yellow trim. The plume was painted.

The turnback heart devices were wrong. These were scrapped off and substituted with Historex flaming grenade devices

So far, this is the stage of oil painting, including basic highlights and shading. Yellow was used to highlight the tunic and trousers. I've used purple as a unifying shade colour for the figure. The outlines of the Hungarian knots can be seen on the hips.
