Glasnost Figures

I bought a few Russian figures from this defunct company known as Joy's Toys. In retrospect, the name is suspect...

These figures had looked rather promising in the small b&w advert, similar to New Hope Design.
Looking at these horrors, I tried to convert Julius Caesar into something more humanoid. I failed. I also decided to stop using Milliput as a putty of choice, using more Duro green putty.

I may work on the Russian Medieval figure in the future. Then and now, there is no inspiration. I run a charity for deformed toy soldiers. It gives me a kick to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

The emaciated figure with pod feet

Caesar had Historex arms and legs added and the cape was made to billow.
